the Wedding Experience

Let's be frank, there are a shit ton of talented photographers in New Orleans. The cool thing is there are probably only a handful of photographers for YOU. Before searching for one, truly dig deep and jot down what important qualities your photographer should possess, what style you like and what feelings you want to have when looking through your photography collection.

My style is romantic, true toned, airy and editorial feeling. I live my life in the moment on my off days, but when it comes to my clients I take on the organization skills and stress load so THEY can live in the moment.

Having been in business for over ten years and photographing over 300 weddings,  the best parts of the day are when you are free and in a no-pressure situation to enjoy yourself.  I want to be your confidant, hype girl and  photographer. Oh and don't worry, I can 100 percent do it all.

My ultimate goal is to provide you with a collection of photographs that will leave you laughing, crying and reliving the day's entirety in its truest form. I will use my relationship with you to create ingenious photographs that still depict your personality wholeheartedly.

that authentically represents your everyday love.

I see you and I feel you! You have legit been scrolling for hours and went down a rabbit hole of endless options for your wedding vendors didn't you? I totally get it, choosing your vendors (especially photography) can be a daunting task because of the endless amount of resources you have to work with.

In addition to all the gorgeous inspiration out there, you also have to deal with balancing advice from parents, family members/friends who "know best" about the do's and don't of wedding planning all while trying not to sacrifice your vision as a couple.  I know it can seem impossible, but with a little help from a friend (ahem, that would be me) and lots of communication, we can dream up a plan and vision that works for everyone.

The Client Experience

This insanely epic relationship starts with an email. Communication is seriously everything if we want this relationship to last. After you submit your contact form, meetings can commence! I love being able to have face time with you, your partner, parents and even your wedding planner if you have one.

This meeting helps lay out the foundation of expectations as well as going over details and discussing ideas for your sessions. Another important part of the meeting is to review the contract and officially reserve your wedding date on my calendar. Most of my meetings take place at my home office M-F 8-5pm, but I am also available to meet on location Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11am and 1pm if that works better for you.

At my home, you can expect an instagram worthy office (I needed a pretty place to work in so I didn't feel like I was at "home") full of champagne and snacks. We will sip and snack while discussing your relationship, and how the question was popped. If I ask where you went to high school just humor me. It is a very real question that New Orleans locals ask each other. It is our way of finding a mutual connection. Weird? YES, but it is what we do.

I am pretty much an organizational person, and that amazing character trait carries over into your wedding photographs. The major reason I only take a certain number of clients per year is because I want to be able to assist you and provide guidance when needed. I want to be fully invested in your wedding journey and be informed of all the details.

I also love to join you and your planner (again if you have one) on site visits to provide input regarding locations for group portraits and even how to stage the room so it is perfect for your wedding prep shots. Getting to a comfortable place with you is also important for sessions. It will help me provide location suggestions that actually match your personality, look their best during the season of your session and have a bit more meaning to you than just a pretty field.

About a month out from your wedding, we will meet and create the perfect timeline to include all of the important things that need to be documented on the day of.

I am always willing to help you find vendors, (and GOOD vendors that I know will provide you with the same killer experience as me) prep locations, and times that certain things should take place. While I was in New York City, I came across a random spray painted message on the street and it stopped me in my tracks. It said "Inspire or Retire" and it is now my mission statement. The inspiration should benefit both you and I. If we are truly meant to work together, we should be inspired by each other. The minute I cannot be inspired by my clients is when I know it is time to scale back on the number of weddings I photograph. All of my amazing clients teach me new things everyday, both in my parenting life, my personal marriage and my professional marriage to photography and I refuse to lose it.
My wish to you is that when you finally marry the love of your life, you get to enjoy every second and remember just how easy it was. I want you to never regret your choice to hire me and realize that getting married is FUN! Love isn't always easy, but working with your wedding photographer should be!

My  promise  is  to  inspire  or  retire.
